Keep calm and run on.
Last winter, my run "club" ran a half marathon almost every other weekend. By the time Spring came around, we were like pros and breaking personal records left and right. This year we got lazy with the training and did absolutely no long runs. Somehow, we still miraculously survived the NYRR United Airlines NYC Half Marathon today. What did we learn from this? Don't skip out on the long runs and cross training makes a huge difference.
Post-race feast was at Station House in Forest Hills in Queens, NY. This place makes legit food with a nice selection of craft beers and whiskeys.
